Michaela
- Yoga Teacher
Michaela believes true transformation happens when we give ourselves the space to slow down. Yoga and mindfulness have supported her journey toward greater tranquility, hope, and balance, inspiring her to help others discover that same sense of equanimity.
Her yoga journey began as a teenager during a cold Connecticut winter, when her eldest sister brought her to her first class. That initial spark of warmth—in both body and soul—became something she returned to again and again as an anchor for her well-being. This lifelong connection eventually led Michaela to complete a personalized, one-on-one 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Maui Yoga Loft in 2024.
Her teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga should be inclusive, approachable, and accessible to every body. Michaela’s classes are grounding, playful, and thoughtfully sequenced, pairing intentional movement with the rhythm of the breath. Whether students are stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening an established practice, her goal is for them to leave feeling more resilient, restored, and connected to themselves.
Off the mat, Michaela finds her own form of “meditation in motion” through time in nature—hiking, snorkeling, and exploring beautiful wild spaces—as well as crocheting, macramé, crafting, and getting lost in fantasy worlds through books and film. She brings that same warm, curious, and exploratory spirit into every class she teaches.
