Meet Maureen

Maureen, the founder of Mangala Yoga, leads a dynamic life beyond the studio, embracing moments with her family and traveling extensively between New Jersey, Hawaii, and Colorado. Amidst these pursuits, she dedicates herself to crafting innovative trainings and programs.

Well-versed in various yoga styles, including Anusara, Iyengar, Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, Maureen's primary focus is on Vinyasa, named Jungle Flow and practiced in a non-heated space, as well as Lava Flow, practiced in an infrared heated yoga studio. Maureen’s background in massage, anatomy, and kinesiology has helped her develop Mangala Yoga’s teacher-training programs, workshops, and intensives.

Maureen completed her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa under the guidance of Janet Stone in San Francisco, CA, where Christopher Wallis, aka "Hareesh," shared profound teachings of Tantric Philosophy. This experience fueled Maureen's curiosity, prompting her to further explore tantric philosophy through continued study with Hareesh in the Bay Area.

Certified as a 500 E-RYT and YACEP teacher, Maureen is renowned for infusing humor into her teaching style, presenting well-balanced intelligent sequences set to lively music. As a teacher trainer, she seamlessly integrates various subjects, leaving students inspired and eager for more knowledge.
